A Bad day at the track

RIP Scott Kalitta!!!
I have had bad days at the track when the people I travel with have had crashes, or blown engines, or have just lost. Today started like all the others but the ending was the worst ever. I am in Englishtown for the NHRA race to cover the Jegs Pro Mod Challenge. All of you by now know what happened on Saturday. Words cannot express the profound sadness I feel, from just being on the gorunds of the track where this tragedy occurred. I cannot imagine the grief the crew and his family are feeling. The end of this day was the worst I have ever had leaving a racetrack. Im a relative newbie to this drag racing Ive only been around for 4 years. So this crash stuff has not happenend to people I know at tracks Im at I have been lucky. Danny Rowe crashed but walked away unscathed. So today when Scott Kalitta crashed, it was a shock to know almost instantly from the way people were reacting that we had lost Scott. I cant even find the words to begin to explain the atmosphere at the track, all I can say is pray for the Kalitta family, and may Scott RIP.
