Im at the ADRL Independence Drags, and i broke my ankle yesterday so I am stuck sitting in the mobile home. I fell out of the trailer yesterday and broke my right ankle pretty bad, I have to try to line up a orthopedic surgeon when we get home from this race. Im gonna be immobile for awhile so Im lucky that I dont have any races until the end of August. Not being able to be on the starting line today was difficult. I had to watch the racing from the window of the motorhome. Not a whole lot of fun for someone who is used to being out on the line and socializing with all my buddies. I normally enjoy the ADRL races, its some of the best 1/8th mile racing out there, so tommorrow Im going to have to find a way to get to the starting line, even if it kills me.
Billy Harper and Dennis Radford did the arm drop final from the ADRL Pizza Hut Drags, and I managed to hobble out to the staging lanes to watch. Billy won, but they both had issues. That car of Billy's is fast and now that it has a carbon pan the controversey should end, and he should get the well deserved recognition of the fastest 1/8th mile Nitrous car. Ill try to post some more fun stuff on saturday.
